Counselling for anxiety, relationships & neurodiversity
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck or disconnected?
Perhaps you're struggling with your confidence, your relationships, difficult experiences, or simply trying to make sense of what's happening for you.
I'm Vicki Pearson, a qualified counsellor based in Bournemouth. I offer a warm, down-to-earth, and confidential space for adults, young people and couples to explore what's going on and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I have a particular interest in neurodiversity and supporting autistic and ADHD clients, alongside my work with anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, relationships and difficult life experiences.
How can I help?
Anxiety & overwhelm
When your thoughts won't switch off, everything feels too much, or you're struggling to cope, counselling can give you space to understand what's happening and find ways forward.
Relationships & couples
Whether you're struggling with communication, conflict, feeling unheard or becoming disconnected, couples counselling can help you understand the patterns between you and find more constructive ways of relating.
Neurodiversity
I have a particular interest in supporting autistic and ADHD clients. I aim to understand the person rather than simply focusing on a diagnosis, adapting our work to suit your individual needs.
Young people
I work with young people aged 14+ who may be experiencing anxiety, low confidence, emotional difficulties, relationship problems, school pressures or the challenges of being neurodivergent.
You don't have to have it all figured out
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting.
You might know that something isn't quite right without being able to explain exactly what it is. Or perhaps you've been managing for a long time and have reached the point where you know something needs to change.
You don't need to have everything worked out before you come to counselling.
We'll start where you are, at your pace. My role is not to judge you or tell you what you should do, but to help you understand yourself, make sense of what's happening and find ways forward that feel right for you.
I offer a free initial consultation so you can tell me a little about what's bringing you to counselling, ask any questions and see whether I might be the right counsellor for you.
There's no pressure to continue.
Couples Counselling
Perhaps you're struggling to communicate, feeling unheard or misunderstood, or have gradually become disconnected from each other.
Couples counselling gives you both a space to slow things down, understand the patterns you're caught in and explore what needs to change.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) alongside my wider integrative approach to help couples communicate more openly, work through difficult moments and reconnect with what matters to them.
The aim isn't to create a perfect relationship. It's to help you understand each other better and build a relationship that feels more connected and meaningful.
